For me my biggest goal post graduation is to find opportunity where I can explore new climbing areas, and continue progress in my surfing. Sure looking for a good job is important, but I need to be in a place that offers recreational opportunity to surf and climb. Unfortunately, there aren't many places that have both. My options are the following: work with my buddy Jake in New Jersey as a rope technician (good pay, but NJ:(( ) , stay in New Hampshire with Fish and Game :(, or raft guide in Montana with friends.I'm not super stoked about any of these opportunities, however they are options. In terms of career direction, I'm not 100% or even 80% sure on what I want to do, which is pushing me towards Montana. However this means I will be giving up climbing and surfing for the summer, something I am not yet ready to do, especially given my recent progression in climbing. Something I may realistically want to do, is stay with my parents in NJ, work surf camp in the summer, and think about the future. This will not only give me time but reduce my cost of living. In New Jersey I will be able to better my financial situation, climb and surf, and figure out what I want to do. Bringing it back to where I am today, I do have a lot of time during in my last year of school to figure out my post graduation situation. As my pondering continues, I will keep improving my climbing and search for more options that may fit my needs.
